The 3rd scientific - educational meeting was successfully organized between the School of Civil Engineering, AUTh and the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ss Cyril and Methodiu.

The aim of this meeting was to enhance the culture of cross-border cooperation, especially regarding wastewater that is disposed (after treatment or not) to shared water resources. Students from both universities had the chance to participate into a workshop that included teamwork, projects assignments and presentations of results on specific issues concerning wastewater treatment and water resources management. The workshop's program, also, included short lectures from professors on the field and visit to Waste Water Treatment facility in Struga.
Participants from both countries had the chance to exchange views and discuss on common issues of interest and, moreover, make proposals to manage these issues. Concurrently, they had the chance to deepen the scientific and educational collaboration between the two institutes, mostly through the strengthening of the relationships between students from both countries.
The meeting was conducted in Ohrid and there were 16 students participating from the University of SS Cyril and Methodius and accompanied by professors Zoran Markov, Atanasko Tuneski, and Darko Babunski and Dr. Iljco Jovanoski, and 16 students from the School of Civil Engineering, AUTh accompanied by professors Y. Xenidis and A. Zafirakou and D. Ioannidou member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff. Dr. Ch. Skoulikaris participated, also, representing INWEB/UNESCO. The whole event was supported and sponsored by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung institution (Skopje office, Mr. Ivan Jovanov and Mrs. Sandra Koljackova) and supported by Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies (Mr. Panagiotis Tasiopoulos).
