The School of Civil Engineering is actively involved in the ERASMUS programme. Since 1987 it has welcomed more than 500 European Erasmus students, who chose to complete part of their studies at AUTh. A similar number of its own Civil Engineering students have undertaken part of their studies at European universities. Courses in Greek

All courses ( 44 compulsory, 16 electives) are given in Greek.

Erasmus students: Courses in English / Individual study and project work in English / Diploma thesis

A list of courses offered in English for Erasmus students may be found HERE .

Some elective courses are given in English, and may be taken by both Erasmus and Greek students. Others courses are based on individual study and/or project work in English. With the prior agreement of both a professor at the Erasmus student’s home university and a professor at the School of Civil Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Erasmus students may also have the opportunity to work on their diploma thesis.

Educational trips and seminars

Erasmus students can join local students on educational trips to sites and engineering projects of significant practical interest. They can also attend seminars given by invited foreign professors and professionals.

PC Lab

Students may use the School’s 60 PCs and printing facilities. The lab is equipped to a high standard and there is access to the internet and local networks. Technical support is available.

Library

The School of Civil Engineering has an independent library housing educational material concerning analysis, research and project planning for civil engineers.
