Erasmus students should register with the School of European Educational Programmes on arrival. Here they will receive an Erasmus ID card with which they should then register with the Secretariat of the School of Civil Engineering.
Create an institutional account
When you register at the Secretariat of the School of Civil Engineering you will be given a certificate of enrollment, which shows your individual registration number (6 digits). This proves you are registered.
You should give the Secretariat your mobile phone number (Greek or from your country of origin), your e-mail address, your father’s name and your place and country of birth.
After a few days you will receive an SMS text from the university with two codes:
- ΑΠΜ - 16 digit University Registration code
- OTP – 8 digit one-time password
If for any reason you do not receive this SMS message please contact the IT centre of the university
Once you have these codes you can apply for an institutional account here: register.auth.gr
Click on the green circle (2) in the middle of this page to get started.
Change the language to English by clicking on en on the bar at the top of the page.
Remember that once you have an e-mail account with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, you should check it regularly, as this is how the university communicates with you.
Apply for your academic ID card
This serves two main purposes:
- It is your academic ID
- It entitles you to student rates on public transport
Go to register.auth.gr
Click on the orange circle (3)
Click on the left hand option which shows a little symbol of an ID card
This takes you to this site:
Open another window on your computer and enter it.auth.gr
In the bar at the top change the language from Greek to English (ελ to en) by clicking on ελ (to the left of the search button) and then clicking on en.
Click on “Apply for your academic ID” in the list at the bottom right.
You will now have instructions in English on how to complete your application.
Register for the student restaurant
You can get three free meals every day at the student restaurant.
Login to the system using the username and password given to you by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. You will then have to complete and print the special application form, and take it with your Erasmus ID card to the Students’ Club office. You do not need to submit any other documentation. The Students’ Club office is located in the Student’s refectory building on the corner of Egnatia and 3rd September streets, 1st floor, office 63 (tel: 2310 99 26 23).
