THE PORT IN THE CITY OF MYKONOS
| In the city of
Mykonos, there is an existing port with a basin measuring approximately
500 X 400 m. The absence of quay walls at a sufficient length and depth
causes a serious problem in the call of ships. The problem is also detected in small ships, since they can only moor within the leeward breakwater and the existing wharf. |

These unfavourable conditions have already been recorded by the international pilots, and as a result of this, the yacht owners, both Greek and foreigners, at a large percentage, systematically avoid approaching the island in spite of its scenic beauty. |
